Free service for musicians and music students! We all enjoy and want to support live music. But upcoming young (or old) and developing musicians have a rough time these days finding places to play and to meet one another. To help musicians and students locate other compatible musical friends, San Francisco Bay Area musician and jazz educator Jim Grantham is publishing the Jamlist. The Jamlist is a listing of people who have expressed great interest in meeting others in order to practice, jam, form rehearsal groups, or start bands. The listings indicate instrument, level, and style of music, as well as the city and telephone number of each listee. Addresses are needed for mailing, but not published online. The Jamlist is free, available to all online, and mailed out twice a year to all those who send in postage. (see instructions) With a few exploratory calls, you should be able to find some new friends and opportunities to further the joy of music-making.
