NIGHTBIRD MUSIC is a small, focused production company providing the finest bands for weddings, receptions, dinners, dances, parties, and background music in the San Francisco Bay Area. Owner Jim Grantham is a well-known saxophone stylist, bandleader and multi-instrumentalist greatly respected in the music community for his high musical standards and professionalism. Nightbird's exceptionally talented musicians are the cream of the crop of the Bay Area's professionals.

Music can be custom tailored for your particular event, especially when appealing to a broad range of age groups. For instance, a typical wedding may include a classical duo/trio for the ceremony, solo-trio for cocktails, quiet instrumental dinner music, capped by an exciting dance band providing energy and fun.

There are a variety of Nightbird combos available, from solo to big band. The most popular groups range from trio to the "mini" big band eight-piece. All combos feature your favorite styles - jazz, swing, rock, motown, pop, latin, ethnic, etc. We also book other selected bands to fit your specific requirements.
