There are three primary types of bands offered by NIGHTBIRD MUSIC.

Sax, Flute, Guitar, Keyboard, Bass, Drums, Vocals. The basic NIGHTBIRD party band usually performs as a Quartet with a full rich sound featuring two male vocalists. This combo is very versatile, playing music of all styles and a variety of instrumental textures. The Trio also sounds complete, and uses keyboard bass instead of a bass player. For large parties, the Quintet (additional guitarist) is a high energy knockout

Instumentation is the same as the NIGHTBIRD Dance bands with an additional front singer. Female vocalist Maye Cavallaro turns a great party band into a sensational show band as well. The Quintet, featuring Maye, is one of our most popular combos.

Other well known Bay Area vocalists are also featured in NIGHTBIRD Plus combos.

NIGHTBIRD Plus is also available as a Quartet. For larger parties and dances, NIGHTBIRD adds extra Saxes, Trumpets, and Trombones; from 6 up to 12 pieces.

These easy listening, instrumental combos play jazz, standards, light pop/rock and new age styles. This tasteful, stylish music is appropriate for cocktail receptions, dinners, conventions and other quieter occasions. Many of the finest Bay Area jazz musicians are featured in groups from duo up to big band. Jazz concert bands are also available.
