NIGHTBIRD's unique capabilities are largely due to versatile, talented bandleader Jim Grantham. Well known in the Bay Area as a fine tenor saxophone stylist, he also plays soprano sax, flute, guitar, and sings.

His over 20 years in professional music spans all styles and assures quality and depth to NIGHTBIRD. His mastery of several instruments creates the illusion that there is a extra musician in the band.
